Every key has its own voice
Q doesn’t sound like Space. The Cherry MX switches use a separate recording for every key on the board.
Stereo, like a real board
Keys on the left play from the left. A touch of pitch and velocity variation keeps fast typing natural.
Native, and featherlight
Written in Swift for macOS. Sounds are decoded once and played from memory — no Electron, no web view.

It works — try the switches and the toggle.

It listens. It never records.

macOS asks every app that reacts to typing for Input Monitoring permission. Keytock uses it for one thing — knowing which key went down, so it can play the right sound. No logs. No account. No analytics. Nothing leaves your Mac.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does it work with my keyboard?

Yes — the built-in MacBook keyboard and any external keyboard. Keytock reacts to key presses, not to a particular device.

Does Keytock record what I type?

No. It uses macOS Input Monitoring only to know which key went down so it can play the matching sound. Nothing is logged, stored or sent — there’s no account and no analytics.

Which Macs are supported?

macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel.

How many Macs can I use it on?

Two. Moving to a new Mac? Deactivate the old one in Settings → License, then activate the new one with the same key.

Is it a subscription?

No. $4.99 once, and updates are included.

Can I add my own sounds?

Yes. Import any Mechvibes sound pack, or create your own with a folder of recordings and a small pack.json.

Will it slow down my Mac?

Keytock is a small native app. Each switch is decoded once when you pick it and played straight from memory.

Which languages does it speak?

34, including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic and Hebrew — with right-to-left layouts where they belong.

Go on, press it.

Make every keystroke count.

$4.99 once. Two Macs. Every update.
